( 3rd June, 2004 ) |
| 1. In order that the Government of
the Union of Myanmar may implement the Agreement on the Common
Effective Preferential Tariff (CEPT) Scheme for the ASEAN Free
Trade Area, which is an agreement of the ASEAN, the Ministry
of Finance and Revenue has already notified the CEPT Product
List and Tariff Reduction Plan which is a basic requirement
for the implementation thereof, by Notification No. 247/97,
dated 10th December, 1997. |
| 2. With a view to the speedy emergence
of the ASEAN Free Trade Area, and to enable inclusion in the
CEPT Scheme, it is hereby notified that the Government of the
Union of Myanmar has transferred (885) commodity items mentioned
in Annexure A, out of the groups of commodity items of TEL-Temporary
Exclusion List of the CEPT Product List mentioned above from
TEL-Temporary Exclusion List to IL-Inclusion List, and that
the Tariff Reduction Plan for the same is also prescribed as
shown in the schedule. |
3. The provision contained in this
Notification shall take effect commencing from 1st January,
2004.
