Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) formulated the Long-term Foreign Direct Investment Promotion Plan in Myanmar (FDIPP) in 2014 with the assistance of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to promote foreign investment in Myanmar.
The FDIPP is updated in accordance with Myanmar investment law (2016) that becomes the Myanmar Investment Promotion Plan (MIPP). Ministerial consultation meeting for formulation of Myanmar Investment Promotion Plan (MIPP) was held at the Thingaha Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on 11 December 2017.
A total of 40 representatives including U Aung Naing Oo, the Director General of DICA and Secretary of Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC), Director Generals, Deputy Director Generals and Directors from the ministries attended the meeting.
At the meeting, U Aung Naing Oo, the Director General of DICA and Secretary of MIC and Mr. Mamoru Sakai, Senior Representative, JICA delivered the opening speeches. Mr. Kazuo Mishima, Team Leader, JICA gave a presentation on the MIPP. That presentation was followed by open discussions and U Aung Naing Oo gave the closing speech. The meeting concluded at 12:30 pm.
