Subject: Types of economic activities allowed for foreign investment.
The Union of Myanmar Foreign Investment Commission in exercise
of the powers conferred under Chapter 3, paragraph 5 of the
Procedures Relating to the Union of Myanmar Foreign Investment
Law, and with the approval of the Government, announces the
following list of economic activities in which foreign investment

Breeding, fishing, processing and marketing
of fresh water and marine fish, prawns and other aquatic

fish and prawns in fisheries which have been reserved
for research by the Government. |

handicrafts made of teak that has been extracted and sold
by State-owned economic organizations engaged in the extraction
and marketing of the same. |

household goods and appliances, such as refrigerators,
