PROMOTED SECTOR SELECTION WORKSHOP HELD IN NAY PYI TAW

Promoted Sector Selection Workshop was held at the Hilton Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw at morning on 10thJanuary, 2017. The workshop was intended to understand the standard criteria and ASEAN practices in stipulating investment promoted sector.

          At the workshop, Deputy Director General U San Myint, Directorate of Investment and Company Administration and Mr. Charles Schneider, Senior Private Sector Specialist, World Bank Group delivered the Opening Remarks respectively.

          After that, Mr. Erik Von Uexkull, Senior Economist, Investment Climate Unit, World Bank Group, Dr. Muhamad Chatib Basri, Co-founder and Senior Partner, CReco Research, Indonesia and Mr. Sufian Bin Jusoh, Legal Consultant, World Bank Group explained the said matters with power point presentation. The officials from the relevant Ministries raised questions concerning what they want to know.

          About the total 30 representatives from Work Bank Group, private sector and officials from relevant Ministries attended this workshop.
