CONVENING A VIRTUAL MEETING ON THE 2ND JOINT COORDINATING COMMITTEE (JCC)

A Virtual Meeting on the 2nd Joint Coordinating Meeting for the Project for Promoting Investment for Enhancing Industrial Competitiveness in Myanmar was convened on 1st July 2020.

The meeting was attended by U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER), Chairman of JCC, Dr. Soe Naing, Director General of the Directorate of Industrial Collaboration under the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Industry,  U Ko Ko Lay, Deputy Director General of the Department of Trade under the Ministry of Commerce,  members of JCC, representatives from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and  the Officials from DICA respectively.  

At the meeting, U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General of DICA, chair of JCC and Mr. Tomoyuki YAMADA, Director, JICA delivered the opening remarks respectively. After that, Team leader of JICA Project Team presented the topic on “Progress of the Project and 2nd Year activity plan”. Moreover, the participants discussed for endorsement of Progress Report and 2nd Year Activity Plan for the Project for Promoting Investment for Enhancing Industrial Competitiveness in Myanmar.

The meeting was concluded with the closing remarks by Director Generals of DICA, Director General of the Directorate of Industrial Collaboration, Deputy Director General of the Department of Trade and Mr. Tetsutaro KON, Senior Representative, JICA Myanmar Office.
