OPENING CEREMONY OF WORKSHOP ON INVESTMENT PROMOTION AND FACILITATION (UPPER MYANMAR) WIN UNITY RESORT HOTEL, MONYWA, SAGAING REGION,MYANMAR

The opening ceremony of Workshop on Investment Promotion and Facilitation (Upper Myanmar) jointly organized by Myanmar Investment Commission, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and DaNa Facility (UK Aid) was conducted at Win Unity Resort Hotel, Monywa, Sagaing Region on 19th June, 2017.

At the ceremony, HE U Kyaw Win, Chairman of Myanmar Investment Commission, Minister for Planning and Finance, HE Dr. Myint Naing, Chief Minister of Sagaing Region, HE Mr. Andrew Patrick, UK Ambassador and Mr. Marc Proksch, Chief, Business and Development; Trade, Investment and Innovation Division,UNESCAPdelivered the opening remarks respectively. Then U Aung Naing Oo, Secretary of Myanmar Investment Commission presented about Overview of Investment Environment in Myanmar.

That workshop is convened aiming to promote and facilitate investments in Myanmar and to strengthen the capacity development for the members of investment committees of Region and State. 

Workshop was attended by the total of 80 personsincludingthe members of Investment Committees, the representatives from Chambers of Commerce and Industry and trade centers from upper Myanmar States and Regions, officials from the Myanmar Investment Commission and representatives from the Development Partners.The workshop will be held up to 21th June, 2017.
