DICA REGIONAL OFFICE OPENED IN MYITKYINA

The Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, under the Ministry of Planning and Finance, opened its regional office in Myitkyina in Kachin State on 10th July 2017, with the goal of providing and facilitating regional investment promotion activities and the incorporation of companies and related business activities.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the Regional Hluttaw, Ministers of Kachin State Government, Secretary of the Myanmar Investment Commission and Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), U Aung Naing Oo, senior officials, and regional departmental heads, members of the Myitkyina Chamber of Commerce and Industry and entrepreneurs.

U Win Nyunt, State Minister of Road, Communication, Electricity and Industry, and the Director General of DICA, U Aung Naing Oo, opened the regional office by cutting a ribbon and Colonel Thura Myo Tin, State Minister of Security and Border Affairs, acting on behalf of the Chief Minister of Kachin State opened the regional office’s signboard by pressing a button.

The opening ceremony was held in Samar Du War Sinn War Naw Hall of Myitkyina. ThuraMyo Tin delivered the welcoming address and U Aung Naing Oo delivered the opening address.          

Colonel Thura Myo Tin presented the company incorporation certificates to SHE BA Construction Co., Ltd. and Power Shine Co., Ltd. which are the first two companies to be registered at the Kachin State Office.

The Deputy Director General of DICA, U San Myint, made a presentation on the new Myanmar Investment Law and investment opportunities in Kachin State.

The opening ceremony was attended by 120 people including Kachin government officials, membersof Kachin Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, investors, local entrepreneurs, media representatives, and guests.
