STAKEHOLDERS CONSULTATION ON MYANMAR INVESTMENT RULES AND RESTRICTED SECTORS

Stakeholders Consultation on Myanmar Investment Rules and Restricted Sectors, jointly organized by the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) under the Ministry of Planning and Finance and the International Finance Cooperation (IFC), in partnership with the Australian Aid, UK Aid and the Japanese Embassy to Myanmar, was held at the Park Royal Hotel in Yangon at 9:30 pm on 13th February, 2017.  

It was attended by a total of 110 participants comprising of U Aung Naing Oo, Director General of the DICA, Deputy Directors General, Directors, officials from Relevance Ministries, representatives from the International Finance Cooperation (IFC), Civil Societies and distinguished guests.

At the meeting, Director General U Aung Naing Oo, Senior Private Sector Specialist, Mr. Charles Patrick Schneider from International Finance Cooperation (IFC) gave the opening remarks respectively. Then, Legal Consultants Mr. Sufian Jusoh and Mr. Chris Hughes, made a presentation of the Myanmar Investment Law, Rules and Restricted Sectors and discussed in details with the participants.
