CONVENING A VIRTUAL MEETING ON THE 2ND OECD INVESTMENT POLICY REVIEW OF MYANMAR

A Virtual Meeting on the 2nd OECD Investment Policy Review (IPR) of Myanmar was convened on 23rd June 2020.

The meeting was attended by U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER), U Aung Naing Oo, Permanent Secretary of the MIFER, U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), the Officials and the OECD Investment experts.

At the meeting, U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for the MIFER and Mr. Manfred Schekulin, Chair of OECD Investment Committee delivered the opening remarks respectively and U Aung Naing Oo, Permanent Secretary of the MIFER discussed the topic on “Myanmar’s Investment Climate Reform Agenda”. Moreover, the participants talked over the main policy recommendations on the final draft of the 2nd OECD Investment Policy Review of Myanmar.

The meeting was concluded with the closing remarks by U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for the MIFER and Mr. Manfred Schekulin, Chair of OECD Investment Committee.
