MON STATE INVESTMENT FAIR 2019 HELD IN MAWLAMYAING, MON STATE

In order to promote its key sector industries and investment opportunities, the Mon State Investment Fair 2019 was held on 29th to 30th November, 2019 at Strand Hotel, Mawlamyaing, Mon State. The Chief Minister of Mon State H.E Dr. Aye Zan and Managing Director of Surbana Jurong Mr. Lee Leong Seng delivered the welcoming remarks.

The seminar was organized by the Mon State Government and SJ Surbana Jurong  in cooperation with the AJ Myanmar and Myat Padomar Development Co.,Ltd. It brought together departmental officials and representatives of business partners, foreign investors and local business to collaborate and discuss opportunities that will support social and economic development of Mon State. The seminar was attended by over 300 participants.

The Deputy Director General of Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) Mr. Soe Myint Aung participated as a keynote speaker at the discussion session on “The Policy Updates on Investing a Business in Myanmar and Promoting Investment in Mon State”. Deputy Director of Mon DICA branch Mr. Saw Lin Aung also presented on “The Role of FDI in Mon State and Mon Investment Committee”.

The seminar invited the foreign investors to invest in Mon State in such potential sectors of hotel and tourism, agriculture and its related services, manufacturing, logistics, power and energy, and infrastructure development.
