FINANCIAL SERVICES SECTOR WORKSHOP HELD IN UK

With the aim to promote  bilateral trade and investment between two countries, Financial Services Sector Workshop, organized by Department of International Trade of UK,  was held on 5th  March, 2018 at Allen and Overy, One Bishop Square in London.

 The Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Minister for Ministry of Transport and Communications H.E U Kyaw Myo attended the workshop, and Mr. Douglas Barnes, Director, Department of International Trade  and Mr. David Lee, Partner and Board Member, Allen and Overy delivered the opening remarks respectively.

 At the session, U Bo Bo Nge, Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Myanmar, U Aung Naing Oo, Secretary of Myanmar Investment Commission and Director General for Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, Dr. Sean Turnell, Special Economic Consultant to the State Counsellor of Myanmar and U Thant Zin, Director, Financial Regulatory Department participated  as panelists in the ” Financial Services Sector Outlook ” panel session and discussed matter relating to the Reforms in Myanmar’s financial services sector and future direction.
