YANGON REGION INVESTMENT COMMITTEE HOLD ITS (2/2022) MEETING

The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting (2/2022) was held via video conferencing system at the YRIC office on 23th February 2022.

The meeting was attended by U Soe Thein, Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee and Chief Minister for the Yangon Region Government, members of the committee and investors.

At the meeting, the Yangon Region Investment Committee approved a Myanmar citizen investment project and two foreign investment projects in Manufacturing Sector. The approved projects are plastic sheet production, garment manufacturing, and textile manufacturing with CMP.

The total investment capital of these investment projects will be 700 million Kyats and US $5.594 million with a total of 3 projects expected to create 490 local jobs. In addition, the general issues raised by the 26 companies were discussed at the meeting.
