CONSULTATIVE WORKSHOP ON MYANMAR INVESTORS GRIEVANCE MECHANISM
The Consultative Workshop on Myanmar Investors Grievance Mechanism was held at Novotel Hotel Max, Yangon on 13 February 2018with the assistance of International Finance Corporation (IFC). The workshop aims to discuss the establishment of investors grievance mechanism to address issues, grievances and conflicts before they reach into disputes and the draft Investors Grievance Mechanism Notification.
The workshop was attended by 50 officials including Investment Assistant Committee, Union Supreme Court, Union Attorney General’s Office, Internal Revenue Department, Customs Department and Directorate of Investment and Company Administration.
At the workshop, U Than Aung Kyaw, Deputy Director General, Directorate of Investment and Company Administration and Mr.Vikram Kumar, Country Manager of International Finance Corporation (IFC) delivered the opening remarks respectively. The experts from IFC discussed regarding the concept and working of Investors Grievance Mechanism and best practices of Investors Grievance Mechanism and draft policy framework on Investors Grievance Mechanism.
