PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETING FOR MYANMAR INVESTMENT RULES

The Public Consultation Meeting for Myanmar Investment Rules, jointly organized by the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) under the Ministry of Planning and Finance, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and the World Bank Group (WBG), in partnership with the Australian Aid, UK Aid and the Japanese Embassy to Myanmar, was held at the Mingalar Hall of the UMFCCI in Yangon at 2:00 pm on 24th January, 2017.  

It was attended by a total of 150 participants comprising of U Aung Naing Oo, Director General of the DICA, Deputy Directors General, Directors, President of the UMFCCI and its members, representatives from the World Bank Group (WBG) and distinguished guests.

At the meeting, U Zaw Min Win, President of UMFCCI, Director General U Aung Naing Oo, Senior Private Sector Specialist, Mr. Charles Patrick Schneider from World Bank Group gave the opening remarks respectively. Then, Mr. Sufian Jusoh  and  Mr. Chris Hughes , the Legal Consultants from the World Bank Group, made a presentation of the Myanmar Investment Law – implementing Rules and discussed in details with the participants.
