In order to meet the needs of the Department and not to overlap the technical assistances among development partners, the 2nd Development Partners Coordination Meeting was held in Novotel Yangon Max Hotel from 9 am to 12:15pm on 14th December 2018.
It was attended by Deputy Director General U Than Aung Kyaw, Deputy Director General Dr. Marlar Myo Nyunt, Directors of the DICA and the representatives from ADB, American Chamber of Commerce, Australian Embassy, The DaNa Facility, GIZ, IFC, JICA and Australian Embassy which are cooperating and coordinating with the DICA for improving Myanmar business environment and building the capacity of its staff.
At the meeting, Deputy Director General U Than Aung Kyaw delivered an opening remarks as well as Deputy Director General Dr. Marlar Myo Nyunt made a closing remarks. Furthermore, U Min Zaw Oo, Director of the DICA gave a presentation on DICA’s way forward and proposed projects that are necessary for capacity building and for better business environment in accordance with the Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan (MSDP), Myanmar Investment Promotion Plan (MIPP) and related laws. The active discussion was made openly and friendly with development partners for future cooperation plans.
