The 6th general meeting on Myanmar-Japan Joint Initiative (Phase II) was convened at the Ministry of Planning and Finance in Nay Pyi Taw on 26th November, 2018.
The meeting was attended by the responsible officials from respective Ministries, the representatives from the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Japan Embassy to Myanmar, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Myanmar (JCCM), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
At the meeting, H.E U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations , Chairman of Myanmar Investment Commission, H.E U Soe Win, Union Minister for Planning and Finance, and Mr.Ichiro MARUYAMA, Ambassador of Japan to Myanmar delivered the opening remarks respectively. Then, both sides mutually discussed the report on the Myanmar-Japan Joint Initiative activities conducted by Japanese side. That meeting was held aiming to promote Japanese investment for economic and social development in Myanmar.
