The Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), under the Ministry of Planning and Finance, opened its regional office in Sittwe in Rakhine State on 30th October 2017, with the aims of providing and facilitating regional investment promotion activities and the incorporation of companies and related business activities.
The opening ceremony was attended by H .E. U Kyaw Win, Chairman of Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) and Minister for Ministry of Planning and Finance, H.E. U Nyi Pu, Chief Minister of Rakhine State, Vice Chairman of the Regional Hluttaw , Chief Justice of the High Court of Rakhine State, Ministers of Rakhine State Government, Director Generals for Ministry of Planning and Finance, senior officials, and regional departmental heads, members of the Sittwe Chamber of Commerce and Industry and entrepreneurs.
U Kyaw Aye Thein, State Minister for Finance, Tax, Planning and Economic , and U Aung Naing Oo, Secretary of MIC and the Director General ofDJ CA, opened the regional office by cutting the ribbon. H.E. U Kyaw Win, and H.E. U Nyi Pu, opened the regional office's signboard by pressing a button.
As per agenda, the second part of the opening ceremony was held in Rakhine State Government Office and H.E. U Kyaw Win, Chairman of Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) and Minister for Ministry of Planning and Finance and H.E. U Nyi Pu delivered the opening address. U Aung Naing Oo, the Director General of DICA, explained the investment opportunities in Rakhine State.
U Kyaw Aye Thein, State Minister for Finance, Tax , Planning and Economic , presented the company incorporation certificates to Gissapa Alintan Agriculture Livestock Farmers Co., Ltd., Kispanadi Development Co.,Ltd., First Arakanese Investment Co.,Ltd., Soe Than Naing Co.,Ltd. and Kyaw Thein & Family Co., Ltd. which are the first five companies to be registered at the Rakhine State Office.
