The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting 9/2025 was held at the Yangon Region Investment Committee in Yangon Office on 24th September 2025 and attended by Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon Region Government and Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee. At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee approved five Investments projects which are wholly myanmar owned, wholly foreign owned and Joint venture Investment projects in the hotel and tourism and manufacturing sector. They are hotel services, 100% export of grinding and manufacturing of various kinds of beans and sesames, 100% export of milling, polishing and production of rice products, manufacturing and selling of various kinds of mattress and foams and manufacturing of various kinds of wearing apparel on CMP basis. The total investment amount for these projects is MMK 6,473.805 million and USD 4.693 million, and it will create 1,468 local employment opportunities.Moreover, the meeting discussed general issues of 24 companies, which included general matters as well as companies seeking to increase their investment capital.
POSTED ON 25 Sep 2025The Kayin State Investment Committee (KYNIC) meeting (4/2025) was held on 25th September, 2025 at the meeting room of the Kayin State Government Office and attended by U Saw Myint Oo, Chairman of KYNIC, Chief Minister for Kayin State, U Saw Khin Maung Myint, Minister of Economic Affair and members of KYNIC attended the meeting. At the meeting, the KYNIC discussed and reviewed the second extension of the construction period approved by KYNIC and to increase the amount of investment. Moreover, the committee approved to amend the investor’s name and to approve the increase in the investment amount.

This meeting was attended by U Aung Kyi Thein, Chairman of the Mon State Investment Committee and Chief Minister for Mon State Government, members of the committee and investors. At the meeting, the Mon State Investment Committee discussed to approve wholly own Myanmar citizen investment and to extend the construction/preparation period for one business.
