U Aung Naing Oo, Secretary of Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC), Director General for the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) attended the Business Seminar of Economic Mission from Belgium which was organized by Flanders Investment & Trade at the Melia Hotel, Yangon on 3rd December 2018.
At the Seminar, U Aung Naing Oo, Secretary of MIC briefed on the matters related to the investment law, business opportunities and actions being undertaken in Myanmar to improve business environment. Dirk Van Steerteghem, Director for Trade, Flanders Investment & Trade and U Zaw Min Win, the Chairman of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry delivered the opening and welcoming addresses respectively. Prof. Dr. Aung Tun Thet, a member of Myanmar Investment Commission delivered the keynote address relating to the investment environment in Myanmar. Dr. Marlar Myo Nyunt, Deputy Director General for Directorate of Investment and Company Administration also joined the business lunch and responded the questions raised by the delegates.
The business seminar was aimed to organize for Belgium investors to understand the business climate in Myanmar. Belgium investors are interested to invest in various sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture & food innovation technologies, logistics, construction and energy.
The delegate from Belgium which is a member of the European Union and Myanmar Businesses also took part in the B2B meetings in the seminar.
