Unboxing Investment Facilitation Toolkit 2022 held aiming to promote, streamline investment for better Myanmar economic community

THE Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations introduced the investment facilitation tools under the “Unboxing Investment Facilitation Toolkit 2022” in Yangon on 1 April.

It aims to support the investment sector, upgrade online services, reduce the burdens, provide investment aftercare services, streamline and simplify the procedures, and transparency.

During the ceremony, Union Minister U Aung Naing Oo talked about the economic impacts of COVID-19 in late 2019, 2020 and 2021, the ministry’s efforts in drafting the SMART Programme and the launching of four services to the economic community provided in line with the objectives of the SMARTProgramme.

He also highlighted at the event DICA Online Solution (DOSo), Standard Operation Procedures for One-Stop Service, Cost of Doing Business in Myanmar Survey Report 2022 and DICA Info Android Mobile Application.

He then added that these services would provide practical functions for the investors and those intending to invest in the country. The ministry develops online services to offer proper services via an online platform in line with the trend, and the new online systems will be launched soon. The cooperation of government and private will promote the investment sector.

Then, Directorate of Investment and Company Administration Director-General U Thant Sin Lwin explained the Investment Facilitation Tools and benefits, and another Director made a PowerPoint presentation for details.

The four services were DICA Online Solution (DOSo), which is the very first online service of Myanmar, where the people make online appointments to enquire about investment matters, SOP of OSS of the Myanmar Investment Commission that provide procedures to apply for licences and permits from the government, Cost of Doing Business in Myanmar Survey Report 2022 that provides information regarding data of land, building, worker, tax and export/import documents in regions/states and DICA Info Mobile Application that offers activities and announcements of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, investment data and the frequently asked questions-FAQs and answers for business people.
