Discussion with the representatives from US-ASEAN Business Council [1]

Amb. Michael W. Michalak, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the US-ASEAN Business Council and his team met with U Aung Naing Oo, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration at head office in Yangon on 11th December, 2018.

The delegation is the first US business mission to Myanmar after reforming the new Ministry, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations. The mission included a cross section of the Multinational Companies such as Chevron, Ford, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Master Card and Visa etc; which invest in the energy, manufacturing, information technology, infrastructure, financial services and health sectors. At the meeting, the discussion focused on promoting stronger business connections between the United States and Myanmar.
