Union Minister U Thaung Tun visits Ulsan in Korea [1]
In order to enhance economic cooperation and promotion of Korean investment in Myanmar, the delegation led by Union Minister U Thaung Tun for Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Chairman for Myanmar Investment Commission visited SK Ulsan Complex, Ulsan Gas Power Plant POSCO Steel Plant at Ulsan in Korea on 19 December 2018.
The responsible persons from each plant presented the history and products of their plants. After that, Union Minister and party went around the plants and viewed the operation system. Then, the delegation raised some questions regarding the production process of the plants and responsed from respective plants particular questions.
SK Energy is the first oil company in Korea and has been producing various petroleum products at the Ulsan Complex. Ulsan Gas Power Plant currently provides about 10% of the country’s electricity consumption. PSOCO Steel plant sell its products to 53 countries.
