Attending the India-Myanmar Investment Development Initiative [1]

In order to enhance trade and investment promotion of India investment in Myanmar, the India-Myanmar Investment Development Initiative was held on 2nd March, 2019 at Pan Pacific Hotel, Yangon.

The event was organized by the Embassy of India and India-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and was attended by 50 participants notably U Aung Naing Oo, Director General of Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), Dr. Sandar Oo, Managing Director of Myanma Insurance and U Min Min, Acting Director General of Department of Trade.

Firstly, the event was graced by the Ambassador of India to Myanmar, Mr. Saurabh Kumar. Then, Director General of DICA, U Aung Naing Oo delivered the remark about the investmentreform, present situation and future plans of DICA.

In addition, the Acting Director General of Department of Trade, U Min Min presented the condition and promotion of trade between India and Myanmar. Then, Dr. Sandar Oo, Managing Director of Myanma Insurance also presented about the reform of insurance.

Finally, the Director Generals responded all the questions that were raised by Indian Investors.
