Attending the workshop on Improving Legal Environment for Investment and Financing [1]

With the cooperation of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relation and Asia Development Bank (ADB), the Improving Legal Environment for Invesment and Financing workshop was held on 24th June, 2019 at Kempinski Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.

           The main objective of the workshop is to build capacity, facilitate discussion and build consensus on reforms required to improve legal and regulatory certainty for investment and financing in Myanmar.

           At the workshop Dr. Malar Myo Nyunt, Deputy Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, deliverers the opening remarks. The workshop was attended by 30 participants representatives from Pyithu Hluttaw and Amyotha Hluttaw, officials from Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Union Attorney General’s Office, the Central Bank of Myanmar, Ministry of Planning and Finance, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (Office of the Registration of Deeds) and Asian Development Bank and Legal Advisors from the private sector.
