CORPORATE GOVERNANCE WORKSHOP

A corporate governance workshop supported by the United States’ Department of Commerce and the US Embassy to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, was conducted at Sedona Hotel, Yangon, on 11th July, 2017.

At the workshop, Mr Scot Marciel, Ambassador to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and U San Myint, Deputy Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) delivered the opening remarks respectively.

The workshop aims to enhance knowledge of corporate governance, good international practices and support the reform process of corporate regulations in Myanmar.          

The workshop was attended by 70 people including officials from DICA, the Myanmar Accountancy Council, Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar and representatives from the US Embassy and US Department of Commerce. The training will continue until 12th July, 2017.
