CONSULTATION SESSION ON INCLUSIVE BUSINESS POLICY IN MYANMAR VIRTUAL MEETING

A virtual meeting on the Consultation Session on Inclusive Business Policy in Myanmar organized by the DaNa Facility was held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on 18th September 2020.

The meeting was attended by a total of 59 participants notably U Aung Naing Oo, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), Directors General, Deputy Directors General and officials from the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Industry, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Ministry of Hotel and Tourism and Union Attorney General’s Office and Deputy Directors General and officials from DICA and members of the  Steering Group from the relevant departments, USAID, ADB and JICA.

At the meeting, Mr. Peter Brimble, Senior Technical Advisor from the DaNa Facility gave the introductory remarks and U Aung Naing Oo, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations also gave the opening remarks. Then, the BOP Inc and the DaNa Facility presented current initiatives for Inclusive Business Policy in Myanmar and the participants discussed the ongoing activities of the Inclusive Business initiatives.
