INVESTMENT AND BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT SEMINAR ON MYANMAR HELD IN REPUBLIC OF KOREA

With the aim to serve as a platform for promoting attractiveness of Myanmar as investment destination and further facilitation the business exchange between Republic of Korea and Myanmar and to provide up-to-date investment opportunities of Myanmar in Infrastructure and Energy Sector, Investment and Business Environment Seminar on Myanmar, collaborated with Directorate of Investment and Company Administration and ASEAN-Korea Center (AKC),  was held on 22nd  December, 2016 at Plaza Hotel, Diamond Hall in Seoul. A total of 8 members of Myanmar delegation led by U Aung Naing Oo, Director General of Directorate of Investment and Company Administration for Ministry of Planning and Finance was in attendance to the seminar.

          At the seminar, H.E. Kim Young-sun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-Korea Center and H.E Thura U Thet Oo Maung , Ambassador of the Embassy of Myanmar to Korea delivered the Opening remarks and the Congratulatory remarks respectively. Then, U Aung Naing Oo, Director General of Directorate of Investment and Company Administration for Ministry of Planning and Finance delivered the Keynote Speech.

          In the morning session, Myanmar Delegation made presentation on the topic of the respective sectors, followed by Q & A session. In the afternoon session, Myanmar delegation and Korean Investors discussed matter relating to the investment at the business meeting. The seminar was attended over 150 businessmen from Republic of Korea.
