INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS-IFRS AWARENESS WORKSHOP HELD

The International Financial Reporting Standards-IFRS Awareness Workshop supported by the PricewaterhouseCoopers Myanmar Co., Ltd (PwC), was conducted at the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) head office, Yangon, on 23thOctober, 2019. The workshop was aimed to enhance knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards-IFRS.         

U Min Zaw Oo, Deputy Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), Ms. Jessica Ei Ei San, Director of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Myanmar Co., Ltd (PwC) delivered the opening remarks respectively. Moreover, experts from PwC Advisors offered varied viewpoints about the topic of Overview of IFRS, Challenges of IFRS Transition, and Market insights from IFRS Adoption, Transition Roadmap and Corporate Governance Framework. The workshop was attended by 50 participants including officials from Head Office, State and Regional Branch Offices.
