July 25, 2025Organized under the supervision of the Embassy of the Republic of India to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and India-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce (IMCC) the PHARMA CONNECT 2025 event was successfully held at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Yangon, this evening.At the outset of the ceremony, opening speeches were delivered by Union Minister for Health, Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Ambassador of India to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, H.E. Abhay Thakur, and Chairman of the India-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Naresh Kumar Dinodiya.U Thant Sin Lwin, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration was attended and participated in the Knowledge Sharing Session with a presentation on "Regulation for Setting up a Pharmaceutical Factory in Myanmar", as well as in the Panel Discussion on the topic of "Challenges and Way Forward in Myanmar’s Pharmaceutical Industry."The objective of the event was to promote the development of Myanmar’s pharmaceutical sector, identify promising investment opportunities, and foster connectivity and cooperation between economic and investment entities of Myanmar and India. A total of over 160 participants attended the ceremony.
POSTED ON 26 Jul 2025Mon State Investment Committee meeting (2/2025) was held at Aung San Hall of Mon State government office at (13:00) PM on 24th July 2025. This meeting was attended by U Aung Kyi Thein, Chairman of the Mon State Investment Committee and Chief Minister for Mon State Government, members of the committee and investors. At the meeting, the Mon State Investment Committee discussed to approve the changing of investor, transfer of shares, changing of investment location, changing of company name and extension period of three Wholly Myanmar Owned Investment.
POSTED ON 25 Jul 2025The Yangon Region Investment Committee Meeting 7/2025 was held on 23rd July 2025 at the Yangon Region Investment Committee Office and was attended by the Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee, U Soe Thein, Chief Minister for the Yangon Region Government, and Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee.At the meeting, the Yangon Region Investment Committee approved two investments: one wholly Myanmar-owned and one wholly foreign-owned investment business in the manufacturing sector. These are grinding, purification, and production of various kinds of beans (100% export), and manufacturing of wearing apparel on a CMP basis.These investments were approved with a total capital amount of Kyat 3,000 million (Kyat three thousand million) and USD 0.900 million (United States dollars nine hundred thousand only), and 696 (six hundred and ninety-six) local job opportunities can be created. Moreover, the meeting discussed general issues of 10 companies, among which one company will increase local job opportunities for 185 people.
