Capacity Building workshop on Reservation lists

With the assistance of the Government of Australia, “Understanding Reservation Lists: Linking investment restrictions and the International Agreements" Capacity Building Workshop was held at Hilton Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw  on 4th to 5th afternoon December, 2015. 

            Capacity Building Workshop was attended by the relevant officials altogether 48 persons from Ministry of Information, Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Rural Development, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry, Ministry of Electric Power, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Mines, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Railway Transport, Ministry of Hotel and Tourism, Directorate of Investment and Company Registration, Foreign Economic Relation Department and the experts from World Bank Group and Australia.

At the workshop, Daw Cho Cho Wynn, the Deputy Director General of Foreign Economic Relation Department and Mr. Charles Schneider, Senior Investment Policy Officer, the World Bank Group delivered the opening remarks respectively. Then, the experts from World Bank Group and Australia explained about the reservation lists by Power point slides and followed by practical case study exercise by the participants. The workshop was concluded with the closing remark by U Aung Naing Oo, Director General, Directorate of Investment and Company Administration.
