The Opening Ceremony of the ASEAN Comprehensive Investment Agreement Forum and Seminar, jointly organized by the ASEAN Secretariat and the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration under the Ministry of Planning and Finance with the assistance of the Australian Government through the ASEAN - Australia Development Cooperation Program Phase II, took place in Kandawgyi Palace Hotel, Yangon on 20th July 2016.
In that Ceremony, U Aung Naing Oo, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, U Win Aung, Secretary of the the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the delegates from Australian Embassy, ASEAN Embassies, the ASEAN Secretariat and the representatives from the Ministriesand the speakers were present.
The ACIA Forum and Seminar will be held from 20th to 21st July 2016 and the experts will discuss about the provisions of ACIA and its benefits respectively.
The ACIA Forum and Seminar aims to introduce and promote the ACIA to ASEAN investors, government agencies and the private sector, to improve the understanding of the ACIA provisions and to discuss ACIA as a catalyst for a Global ASEAN as part of the ASEAN Community 2025.
