The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting 12/2023 was held at Yangon Region Investment Committee Office on 27th December 2023. The meeting was chaired by U Soe Thein, Chairman of the Yangon Region Investment Committee, Chief Minister for the Yangon Region Government and attended by the Members of the Yangon Region Investment Committee and special invitees.
At the meeting, Yangon Region Investment Committee endorsed 3 wholly Myanmar citizen owned Investment projects and 2 wholly foreign owned investment projects which include manufacturing of wearing apparel on CMP basis, manufacturing and export business of international standards high quality of value added rice, crushing and marketing of various kinds of stones for construction (100% local sale), manufacturing of garment on CMP basis for 100% export and grinding and manufacturing of various kinds of beans (100% Export).
The total investment amount of endorsed investment projects are MMK 8,950.238 Million and USD 7.020 Million. The endorsed investment projects are expected to create 1,719 local job opportunities.
Moreover, in this meeting also discussed the general issues submitted by nine companies.
